PRECINCT 2 CREWS START CLEARING FOR HIKE-AND-BIKE TRAIL

(Ed.'s Note: Work is underway south of Morrison Road in preparation for the construction of a segment of the hike and bike trail. Cameron County Precinct 2 Pubic Works crews have been clearing the old railroad grade south toward FM 802. The county and the City of Brownsville approved a Memorandum of Understanding last April. The agreement calls for six miles of hike-and-bike trail from the B&M bridge to Ruben Torres Boulevard, and two miles of road plus a trail between Ruben Torres and Alton Gloor Boulevard.

Better engineers traffic jams all over 2 hours from billy mitchell, boca chica to 4 corners unacceptable. Price rd from Paredes to express all red lights not sync, express on 14th to porter full of trucks won't let you pass them taking up both lanes where's the motorcycle gang on this one. 802 and robindale long lines red lights won't change and a lot other places this really stinks oh but bike trails galore and cantinas a dime a dozen downtown - IF YOU GET TO DOWNTOWN

More useless bike trails that only wastes funds maintaining them. What we really need is more street maintenance and proper drainage. We already have countless miles of bike trails and bike lines, priorities are really screwed up.
