WAS PURCHASING AGENT ROBERT LUNA ALLOWED TO RESIGN?

Image result for keying a car
Heretofore reliable sources tell us that former City Of Brownsville  purchasing director Robert Luna was allowed to resigned from his job.

There is no given reason for his departure, but apparently, he was seen on video surveillance keying a undercover police vehicle that supposedly was parked on his City Plaza reserved parking space.

Other sources say there was a warrant issued over the keying of the car and that it may not have been the first time it happened.

Luna was allowed to resign, instead of being terminated, our sources say. Luna was hired by the city in 1998.

Our City Manager continues his campaign to rid the City of Brownsville of its local talent so he can import his buddies from out of town. The one that needs to go is the city manager.

Why is it that the ex HR director still making $86,000 a year? The ex planing and zoning director still making $90,000 a year? Now we have the newly promoted "Government Affairs" director with no budget or personnel to manage probably making $80,000-90,000 a year? Total Aligment? Total mismanagement of taxpayers monies that is.

Was that the key to his office or the key to the mayors office it needs to be investigated and charges filed destruction of city property. So who said it was ok to destroy of damage city property the citizens?

Anonymous said...

Call the DA

Anonymous said...

He needs to be charged and arrested he destroyed and/or damaged city property where's the pd chief or the da????

Anonymous said...

To repaint a car will cost the city taxpayers over $1000.00 besides the damaged to the car now that's a felony. No city official nor city employee has the right to not charge this individual. THAT'S A FELONY CHARGE HIM!!!

These corona-idiotas need to start protecting city properties and enforceing the law just like the enforce you to pay taxes.

Remember that not all of us pay property taxes, the "Historical Designation " bullshit on personal homes exempt the owner from paying taxes. We do have current elected officials on this designation, I really hope that they don't run for reelection. They should be setting the example for their constituents, what a double standard, do as I say not as I do.

6.59 It was the DA that gave him the wrong key, now he will be hired as a consultant for twice the pay. That is what Cabler did, and so did Jason the jackass Hilts did.

Roberto Luna worked his way up the career ladder... through dedication and hard work he was promoted at the City of Brownsville and helped transform it into something much better. In my educated opinion, Mr. Luna wanted to diss-associate from those whom are raping our city and its taxpayers with their money related corruption. Luna last worked in the Purchasing department and had taken oath to control costs and in my opinion most likely uncovered the truth, before it surfaced to the public, a conflict of interest legal case that Brownsville Taxpayers had to absorb (millions of $) that is punishable by law. Viva Roberto Luna!! At least he had the balls to stand up for what is right and get away from the thieving RATS instead of conspiring with them.
