ADOBBATI SINGING A DIFFERENT TUNE; SON TESTS POSITIVE

"Americans who deliberately expose and infect others with coronavirus could face federal terrorism charges, according to a new memo sent out by the Justice Department.

The document, signed Wednesday by Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and sent out to US attorneys and law enforcement heads across the country, declares that: 'coronavirus appears to meet the statutory definition of 'biological agent' under 18 U.S.C., [which means that] such acts could implicate the Nation's terrorism-related statuses."

(After numerous posting where local  attorney Ricardo Adobbati derides local bloggers for posting out the irresponsibility of the Rancho Viejo (and mainly St. Joe alumni) group who traveled to Europe while the COVID-19 pandemic raged there and then returned without alerting health authorities, he admits his son is infected.

In fact, six of the 10 cases in Cameron County come from these "kids" who form a cluster of the outbreak in Rancho Viejo.

They came back from COVID-19 infested Barcelona, Spain after March 12 and had not been tested until 10 days later. Adobbati says his son and those on the trip gallantly had "self-quarantined" without alerting authorities of the potential for infection.

He chided bloggers for "spreading false rumors or criminalizing these kids for having the strength to do this."

Read through this self-serving post and decide for yourself if the bloggers were correct to be concerned for the members of the public who have come in contact all that time with these irresponsible individuals, or "kids". That said, hope no one dies or sickens as a result of coming into contact with this group.)

Update on Corona virus issues: (By Ricardo Adobbati, Democratic Party Primary nominee for 404th Judicial Court)

We were asked on March 22nd, 2020 to have the kids (his "kid" is 21)  from the trip take the test to confirm whether or not they had the virus regardless of whether they had symptoms or not.

Several others were asked to go as well. At all times prior my son remained in self quarantine by himself and with no symptoms.

Unfortunately, even though he had no symptoms the test came back positive today. As the medical staff indicated he is to continue with the same steps he was already taking. Namely, staying in the apartment, making no contact with anyone and to wash his hands regularly.

He is to maintain that routine for an additional 4 days so he can complete his 14 day quarantine as he has been in voluntary isolation since he returned. No medication was administered or prescribed. Apparently, the virus does not always show symptoms with younger adults as they have a much stronger immune system.

He has and will continue to respect all the recommendations of the physicians. Originally they wanted to limit the testing to those with symptoms due to the scarcity of the test kits...

Simply because someone is asymptomatic should not be enough to assume they have not been infected. It is my understanding the County and the CCPHD will be reaching out to anyone that was a part of any trip outside of the Valley.

Trevino is trying to keep it under the rug. He risked everyone not notifying the Health Dept or the Public. How many are infect with COVID 19??QUARANTINE Rancho Viejo!!

They couldnt get tested in europe. No one gave a shit until the trump announcement. The following day the kids returned and self quarantined with no symptoms. There are other positive cases in the county. Lets expose the other that are positive. Lets expose all the people that tested positive. You cant seriously think this acts were intentional. Irresponsible? Maybe but upon arrival they acted responsible and self quarantined. Why notify the whole world if they had no symptoms.

Stay indoors. Stay safe. Stay vigilant not fearful.

His son was at the island!!! Mato was on the trip! They wanted to have a party at G”s house!!! Adobatti needs to stop this! Be responsible! And it goes on, and on! The actions taken can and will eventually cause someone’s death. Tell the truth!

I posted part of this a few articles back but it's even MORE pertinent now that additional details have been uncovered. Enough, already. Bring them to account.

Had i personally overexposed the community because of my chosen actions during an outbreak to a potentiality deadly virus and not informed anyone, I would expect to be held accountable. Everyone should expect that, even those in our community who can afford to send their college-age 'kids' on a group Spring Break trip to Spain.

That's not hating on their ability or prerogative to do so; it's a just a REALLY dumb idea to travel into an outbreak area and then expect not to be exposed.

The activities and associations of St. Joe alumni are well-known by anyone who has tried to obtain a job in the city. Back in the day the St. Joe 'Spooks' were a thing on campus. They even posed for yearbook pictures. The alumni association is unusually strong, even for a private school, and it appears to many that graduation from St. Joe is a prerequisite for public office locally. Is the level of schooling THAT much better at the hallowed academy that the rest of us don't cut the mustard when it comes to leadership? That's highly doubtful, but that's just the way it is here in Brownsville.

Correlation doesn't necessarily imply causation, but if the virus was minimally here before they took the trip, we now have additional cases after the trip, and it's those that took the trip that have the virus, it's hard to ignore how the virus got here.

It's an insult to intelligence to downplay the alumni angle. As a longtime Brownsville resident, it's pretty easy to see. Like any fraternity, association and networking work to the advantage of those within that fraternity, more so in a small community like ours.

And I think that's why people are so angry, including myself. If we're to turn the other cheek to the more cliquish aspects of being an alumnus(and the community has, for years), at least be honest about your part in the spread of COVID-19. We're not stupid; don't treat us like we are.

What about retired folks? Retired seniors are eligible.

What about those on government benefits? And those with no income?
Yes, eligible folks include those with no income, as well as those whose income comes entirely from non-taxable means-tested benefit programs, such as SSI benefits

Trump's only motivation for being in politics is money for his enterprises and family. Nothing else. That's why he's been so cozy with Putin: money from the Russian oligarchs. The American public is dealing with our country's most corrupt president.

What the hell does that have to do with anything?

This is all around Cameron County. At BISD @ Canales Elem. Inside Intel information states this individual who's the Office Clerk is a well known FREQUENT TRAVELER and prior to the Spring Break week she was out the whole week due to the "flu". If so has she even been CLEARED to return to work from the BISD main office to even be "volunteering" handing out packets and potentially risking the health of the families and others. The intent is appreciated of the safety precautions of her wearing a mask and gloves but what about before hand. If she doesnt even work a full 8 to 5 Monday to Friday schedule. Why risk the health of others? All because she's the Principal's pet and clearance is not needed.

That man with all due respect needs to consider resigning.

Really people? For the comment at 4:35 p.m. said clerk had Type B flu. Said person was out 4 days and does t need clearance as said person wasn't out more than 5 days as per BISD policy. And the gloves are required as per directives given. Find someone else to pick on.

Bisd is to blame for the coronavirus

They are not kids and to call them that is to minimize responsibility. The parents of these privileged adults are just as much at fault, by enabling and dismissing responsibility for the reckless decision to go abroad knowing full well there I was and is a health crisis. I for one and my family regret voting for Adobatti, he demonstrates no empathy for the public and proves to be as selfish as his son. I wish I could take my vote back and he should resign.
