(Ed's Note: Tamaulipas Gov. Lic. Javier Garcia Cabeza de Vaca has declared a statewide curfew starting at midnight today and prohibiting the public to be outside their homes from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Similar curfew declarations had been made in Reynosa and Laredo, but those were based on combating drug cartel activity.
The current declaration applies to the entire state and is based - according to the governor's press release - upon the current COVID-19 crisis.
