(Ed,'s Note: Motorists on the eastern outskirts of Brownsville were surprised to see a funeral procession headed toward Guillen Cemetery past Browne Road on Boca Chia Boulevard with a proliferation of tow trucks and Monster Trucks, some hauled on trailers.We found out that they were bidding a last goodbye to Michael (Mike) Betancourt, well known in Los Fresnos who we are told operated a tow truck for Valley Towing.
Unfortunately, many county residents are seeing more of these tributes as the body count peaks during the COVID-19 pandemic and officials say the numbers will increase as they catch up with the count. Our condolences to the Betancourt family and all his fiends. Peace be with him and them.)
