FIRST DAY EARLY VOTING HIGHEST IN COUNTY HISTORY


 

(Ed.'s Note: Tuesday's early voting 
first-day totals are the most in Cameron County history, according to Elections Departments administrator Remi Garza.

Compared to the 2016 presidential election, Tuesday's first day early voting total of 10,985 votes is 67 percent higher than 2016's first-day total of 6,581. Mid-term (2018's) first-day early voting total was 6,975.

The county's most popular voting place, the Brownsville Main Public Library had an increase of 520 votes this year over the 2016 first-day early voting.

    Polls open at 9 a.m. unlike at Hidalgo County where they open at 7 a.m.)
