BLOWING SAND PAST BEACH ACCESS 6 ON SOUTH PADRE ISLE

(Ed..'s Note: Bordered by sand dunes on both sides of South Padre Road 100, this photo was taken Sunday afternoon by one of the last motorists who visited the island this late in the year. Many visitors were seen at the other access points operated by Cameron County Parks. Visitors crawled over the dunes to reach the Gulf side and others rode horses on the beach. With hurricanes still forming in the Caribbean and a norther bringing in brief showers, the year 2020 appears it will remain quirky to the end. The wind created waves of sand that drifted across the asphalt.)

Rose M.Z. Gowen, Brownsville city commissioner and RTC board member, said the next step is to build the trail actually linking Los Fresnos to the new extension.
This is insane she needs to go! The city floods, traffic jams everywhere, traffic light unsync, this city looks like the moon full of crater size potholes and this lady has the audacity to continue to built bike trails????
SHE NEEDS TO GO JUST LIKE THE BIDS BOARD...

“People are using them. We can see that here locally. Hopefully when we can travel again and such it’s going to translate into increased tourism, so it makes sense that the momentum is high and we’re definitely looking forward to capitalizing on that.”
