Four more Cameron County residents have died from COVID-19 related causes, the county health department reported Tuesday.
The deaths were reported in Brownsville, Harlingen and La Feria and included a man in his 50s, a man in his 70s and two people in their 80s, the health department said.
This raises the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Cameron County to 1,168, Cameron County Public Health said in a statement.
Also Tuesday, the health department said it has received confirmation on an additional 127 COVID-19 cases here, raising the total number of cases to 28,740.
in Brownsville, Harlingen, La Feria, Laguna Heights, Laguna Vista, Los Fresnos, Los Indios, Port Isabel, Primera, San Benito, Santa Rosa and South Padre Island.
The new cases include six children ages 9 and younger, 22 people ages 10 to 19, 27 people in their 20s, 16 people in their 30s, 17 people in their 40s, 16 people in their 50s, 12 people in their 60s, 10 people in their 70s and one person in his 90s, the health department said.

With the virus infections on the rise Chief Felix "El Chapo" Sauceda keeps putting his Officers at risk by having them attend trainings where his training division does not even wear any type of face coverings and other divisions within the department also pack there offices with Officers putting them at serious risk. CHIEF EL Chapo SAUCEDA and his Excuse team don't give a shit just about the officer's just about their own well being..
