(Ed.'s Note: We were saddened to hear that local seafood merchant Marco Lagunes fell victim to COVID-19 and passed away Friday. Lagunes was well know to local restauranteers and seafood customers. A member of a prominent Matamoros family, he was married to one of the daughters of legendary Juan N. Guerra. As per his wishes, his ashes will be sent to his native Veracruz.We send out condolences to his family and friends. RIP.
