The sentencing of former BISD board of trustee Sylvia P. Atkinson is scheduled for April 2021.
Atkinson’s sentencing was originally scheduled for Feb. 9, 2021, but she filed an extension that was granted by Judge Fernando Rodriguez.
Atkinson was faced one count of conspiracy, one count of bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds, and six counts of travel act-state law bribery. In Nov. a federal jury found Atkinson guilty on all eight charges.

I agree with you, and I am a Mexican-American woman and NOT a Republican or Democrat.
While we are at it, lets see how many rise up and say 45 was a RACIST, against minorities, women. South Texas is not the worst place in the US, and if you think it is, move to predominantly anglo and black communities, maybe there you will feel right at home.
