BROWNSVILLE SAYS GOODBYE TO LONGTIME PUBLIC SERVANT

(Ed.'s Note: We join our fellow city residents in extending our condolences to the Robert Avitia family on his passing Saturday. Avitia, who was involved in numerous community improvement activities, was a longtime Brownsville Police Department commander. RIP.)

My condolences to Liz and her family. He only beat us on this race - one he most certainly worked for with his kind demeanor and faith. Never did I see a sad face on Robert, for he was an honest in sincere man.

plastic bags, black ducks running all over the place, useless ponds only to honor more whites, plant grass and infect all the resacas. I wonder what's next and let the city run down its not their money of course...

I just ran into both of them on
Friday march 29 ..
He was trying out a vehicle.
I ran to both of them to say hi..
I told him how I kept him in my Prayers
Because he has been a role model to many
Of us here in Brownsville community

Last words he mentioned yo me was

"Go Cowboys"
