(Ed.'s note: It was just a matter of time before the political intrigue and skulldruggery of Brownsville politics started to appear on social media. At one time it was anonymous hojas sueltas that were papered all over the city and brought out peccadilloes and skeletons of their opponents' closets.
It's a time honored tradition here and in this social media hoja suelta it focuses on the fact that Carlos Elizondo and Erasmo Castro, both former BISD trustees have had their run-ins with the law. That is true but what is also true is that both are eligible and certified to run. Knowing these two, politics is in their blood and will probably run in local school district and city races in the future if they get a chance.
The voters will, of course, have the last word. Nonetheless, we're sure to be treated to a give and take in the new cyber hojas suletas like the one above. We'll see what they will fire off against their opponents in return. Let the games begin!)

From FAME to SHAME, these two criminals/felons feel that they and they alone are the victims. In their madness and twisted mindset they truly believe that they have been done wrong. A criminal will never admit to their crime as long as they have someone to hear their defense in these case that will be you the voter. Please don't elect or reelect anyone with "Historical Designation " bullshit on their personal homes. These people should be ashamed to run for public office knowing that they don't pay a penny on property taxes on their personal homes unlike their constituents, who do pay their fair share year after year. @10:08, I believe Carlos Elizondo was cleared by a jury of his peers. As for Castro, he's just a POS looking for a title and public recognition. He reminds me of that dumb ass, Chino Sanchez in Harlingen who has no proper education and only won because like in Brownsville, the voters are just as dumb as Chino in his district. Let' not forget that Chino lives in a house behind one of his children because he cannot afford rent or taxes. Going back to your comment, the voters continue to vote for the likes of tony "got away scott free" yzaguirre, five finger ring joe "protected" rodriguez, I'll beat your ass Tetas and so on!
We need NEW BLOOD what do we have to loose. We know the current idiotas are NOT going to change. More bike trails more potholes more traffic jobs for all their family member and friends piling all the boards with relatives and close friends to control the whole city MORE DISNEY TRIPS parking places downtown and at pd for their businesses THEY PAY NO NO PROPERTY TAXAS

March 25, 2021, at 6:28 PM, as you stated he was found not guilty on that felony charge, however, I am referring to several other charges where he pleaded out and paid the fines and restitution!!! One being, he made a false police report stating that someone had stolen building materials from a worksite (either when he was building his home a home) but then it turned out he had stolen the materials!!! Another charge was he was caught red-handed stilling a wheelchair from a medical facility, and there are several more that can be added to the list. And let's not forget the pending theft charge that the Brownsville Fire Department Union has against this THIEF!!! These are just a few that he has been caught for, image what other crimes he has??? He claims to be a man of faith but only to still your trust!!! I worked with this worthless dude, he complained all day and yet he committed more wrong doings that those of which he pointed out. As an EMS Lt. he abandoned his post on multiple occasions to go coach his daughters games while he was on duty and in his assigned Officers Unit, he would have women sleep over (I don't mean sleep) at the EMS Fire Station 9 while he was the officer in charge, he also allowed medical supplies to be stolen by Justin (his private ambulance partner) from our BFD ambulances and EMS medical supply storage there fire station 9, and yes so much more!!!
