When Donald Trump was in office, he often Twitted about ongoing events and crisis, often before they were resolved.
Well, it seems like the Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza is taking a page from Trump's playbook.
One week ago Sunday at around around 9 p.m., the Sheriff's Office received a call in regards to an individual who barricaded himself in a house after assaulting family members with a handgun on the Harlingen area.
The Cameron County SWAT team was activated and Sheriff Deputies who were assisted by Harlingen Police Department and Primera Police Department helped by setting a perimeter.
Several complaints have come from inside the Sheriff's Office due to the risk they were exposed by the inexperienced leadership at the department. Luckily the suspect was not there anymore. Perhaps he maybe have been alerted through the social media posting by the inexperienced Garza.
Shortly after the SWAT team arrived, they proceeded to approach the suspect's house using an armored vehicle, and while the officers were making an approach, Sheriff Garza posted a video on Twitter and Facebook right before entering the house, placing not only the officers at risk, but the assisting agencies and civilians who lived closed by.
Nowadays, all you need is a phone to tap into the moves by the SWAT team moving into place before launching their assault. Just imagine if the the suspect was watching on his phone that they are about to breach his front door.

Look at the picture....it can be your nephew, cousin, son, grandson..... these young ones are learning about emotions, anger, trust, rules, responsibility, etc ...let the family try to resolve his issues....not all the experienced men of the valley. The sheriff has to help young people...not hurt them for life.

The suspect had already left the location prior to SWAT being activated. There was no need to call SWAT. All it did was give El RoRo a chance to snap a picture before flying out of the county. Why isn’t anyone talking about a Sergeant showing up while on Fmla and breaking department policy by photographing himself in uniform? The picture was after the fact.
