I WILL NOT VOTE TO RE-ELECT NO ONE blame the bike trails and all these consulting fees. FIRE ALL AT THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE use those funds to cover ALL the potholes in the city...those are his girl friends he brought over from up north. NO TIENEN VERGUENZA BOLA DE RATAS.

This City Manager has no shame. They used Mike Limas on the BCIC board as part of a consultant team to remove two highly productive 357b city
employee retirement investment plans and replaced it by forcing millions of city employee investment dollars transferred over to Equitable.
As soon as the money was transferred, Micheal Limas suddenly changes hats and is now employed by Equitable.

Totally unacceptable, too many assistants city managers and to top it off, outsources services that should be done internally. And the salaries don't count fringe benefits such as retirement contributions,annual/sick leave, health insurance etc etc etc. City manager needs to downsize his staff, most of them are doing nothing, coming to work at 9 am and taking two hour lunches and leaving early.

This city ranks on the top 5 on salaries for city officials. Just look at the graphics. THIS IS INSANE to have any office in the city making over 1 million dollars in salaries and with only 5 people in the department. THIS IS INSAME, and to add salt to injury they spend another million on consultation fees on how to improve.
Traffic how does the city justify hiring an traffic engineer making over 90,000 a year? By how many cars on a red light are waiting for a green light? If you want to know here it 20 cars, and that's on EVERY traffic light on main roads. 20,20 20 cars waiting for the traffic light to turn GREEN!

Let’s not forget the Public Works director who makes over 100,000 a year and sets in his office all day and plays on his phone. Mr. G has managed to fire or run off both assist directors, superintendent and landfill manager and a lot of staff. He did the same thing in Port Arthur which resulted in a 50,000 fine from the state during a 2018 investigation at the landfill. He has failed to hire any quality managers to replace them. He brought Suzie over from Eng that has no idea what she is doing and gave her a promotion to a salary position. Since then she has been leaving everyday early and let’s not forget she was charged with theft in 2015. The staff are on their own with no leader. Former Eng director Carlos has been left in charge and has no idea what’s he’s doing and can’t or won’t make a decision. All the Supervisors are worthless and uneducated and only there to collect a paycheck. Forget Total alignment in that department. He Has been allowed the treat them like shit and no one will help them. Staff just don’t care anymore.
Dont reelect anyone with Historical Designation " bullshit on their personal homes. These shameless leaders don't pay a penny on property taxes while their constituents struggle to pay their taxes. Enough is enough, vote them out.
THERE IS NO WAY IN Hell we should have that Many assistant City Managers, we are not that big of a City... It's clear as Day Bernal has lost total control..

With 6 city managers making over 1 million dollars to supervise the public works director is hard work. Los seis together can't come up with a SINGLE idea on how to improve ANYTHNING and much less to improve something.
Has the million dollar department come up on how to fix the pothole problem, the traffic jams, the flooding, stop building bike trails, NO THEY HAVE NOT, they are too busy counting their millions and hiring consulting firms just to cover their asses.

Hired Department heads that would take pay cuts not stand up for themselves.
