The Texas Department of Public Safety has warned state representatives and senators who voted in favor of SB 8 – the bill that bans abortion at around 6 weeks of pregnancy before many people even know they’re pregnant – that credible threats have been made against their lives.
The message above has been sent to those who voted for the bill, including Senator Eddie Lucio Jr., listed as one of its sponsors, and the only Democratic senator voting for it. (See vote at right.)
Neither Reps. Alex Dominguez nor Eddie Lucio III voted for it in the House.
S.B. 8 allows people across the country to sue anyone who helps someone get an abortion after six weeks in Texas — including doctors, partners, friends, family members, or abortion fund volunteers.
S.B. 8 also offers a $10,000 minimum reward for every successful lawsuit and is the harshest, most extreme abortion restriction in the country; and the first 6-week ban that has been allowed to take effect.
That means any person — such as a partner, parent, nosy neighbor, random stranger, or anti-abortion protester — from any state can sue a person they believe helped someone get an abortion in Texas after 6 weeks. In exchange for their vigilante action, they collect at least $10,000 (plus legal expenses) from the person they sued for each successful claim.

Planned Parenthood has argued that this abortion ban will block most safe abortion services in Texas and could also lead to the harassment of health center staff, patients, and anyone who helps a person get an abortion.\
The DPS warning did not name any suspected perpetrators.

CHIEF FELIX SAUCEDA'S Incompetent leadership continues to shine!
CHIEF SAUCEDA WITH LAWSUIT MOUNTING AND NOW LAWSUITS COMING FROM WITHIN AS Chief Sauceda has now injured several Officers they were all injured at the shooting range as Chief Sauceda has ordered Officers to shoot and exchange gunfire from vehicles.
Sauceda claims to have read a book on gun fighting and Now is an expert on the matter!
One Officer was even shot in the arm during the UNSAFE DRILLS while others were taken to the ER with fragments that had to be removed..
All Officers have been blamed for their own injuries as Sauceda and his incompetent staff continue on their dismal leadership..
