When Lt. Joe Elizardi suddenly retired from the Cameron County Sheriff's Department after decades as chief jailer of the county's three corrections facilities, new sheriff Eric Garza scrambled to pick his replacement.
Looking around the personnel on hand, Garza settled for the office who was in charge of a detention center downtown near the county building on Harrison Street.
He picked one Andre James Delgado to replace the departing Elizardi. But now, some of his Facebook postings are hitting the social media and what they reveal is a sick puppy, if not a pseudo satanist. Sources say that it is really administrative assistant CCSO Laura Terviño who is babysitting for Delgado as he gets his feet wet in his new position. Take a gander at what he has posted for all the word to see.
Just having fun, you say? When a person can literally have control over an inmate's very life, it should make one wonder whether injuries suffered in the corrections facility under his control are accidental or made "to look" like an accident.

This is disturbing at many levels including Lt. Elizardi’s decades long position as the jail administrator. I believe a fact check is in order or this blog is carrying on MSM tactics.

In my 15 years in the department I have never seen this type of mess, jailers that think are police officers, driving police units with SO radio frequency, giving directives to deputies, Garza and Gracia does not understand.. one was a clerk the other one a cpb officer.

I can tell you from what I’ve gathered from working at the jail crdc in specific that during the 3 years I’ve been there the moral has gone up with the new commander. I have seen him respond to fights and jailer assaults. He is always asking if the jailers are doing good and offering help. He might not know everything about being a commander but he knows how to treat his jailers good. The jail Lt.’s are now in the floor working and conducting their rounds. We as jailers are already noticing the change for good. If it takes a satanic commander to turn the jail around so be it.
What a mess!
So now if you celebrate dress up or Halloween you cannot work for the sheriff's office. Some major stretch Montoya.

"Never judge a book by its cover" just because you see someone post stupid shit on social media doesn't define the person. But if this is what you have to do to get publicity then good for you. This guy has been my sergeant up to my commander and he is the best I've worked with. He doesn't get on his high horse and belittles the rest. He is on the floor with us jailers and helps us instead of staying behind a desk. So if you think he is satanic trust me your wrong. This is from one that has worked with him for years. To not liking the guy when I first met him to looking up to him now. So for you haters if you have something to say it's whatever. If your not walking in those boots just stop. He's one of the best county has and doing his best to keep his guards. Unlike others that point their workers to the door. And no I'm not a kiss ass or whatever your going to try and come at me with. Say what you want trust me it won't faze me.

I worked with Delgado as a jailer for years he's a moron. He's on the floor because he's not smart enough to distinguish a line officer from a supervisor. You're an administrator now Andre act like it. For all of you who think because this bafoon is still working on the floor makes him a great supervisor you're a part of the problem. His social media is a direct reflection of his personality and as an administrator for the sheriff's department he represents them as well. Taking that position you should have known this but again at least he's on the floor coddling the jailers to make them feel good lol

And 453pm wouldn't you want your coworkers regardless of rank to stand by you? The staff in the jail all stand behind the thin gray line. You would probably be one of the ones behind the desk and on your high horse. I'm sure he knows his rank but thats the difference between him and other higher ups, he gets his ass on the floor to see what the jailers see and not just sit behind a desk and treat them as slaves.
Delgado is a leader not a boss that’s why he is on the floor , not like the old administration who would hide behind there desk.

Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians at the jail. New hires being trained incorrectly. Too many rules and procedures being broken or not followed. Guards putting hands on inmates. Guards thinking they can speak to inmates in ways they wouldn't dare in public.

Delgado was my Sgt.15yrs ago and a damn good one. Did his tours of duty overseas and came back Just like I did in 1972. He's no coward that much I will tell you. He's got your back always. He might like to drink Monster Drinks and Red Bulls.But so what.He can do the Job.
