Motorists also have to dodge flooded streets, potholes that could swallow a bus after a downpour, and interminable construction of sidewalks down the middle of Boca Chica and FM 802. Are these the qualities and priorities that indicate we're an All-American city?
As far-fetched as it may sound, we probably bought the designation to blind us to the basic need of our city residents and to hang a pretty sign on the city limits and on the walls at City Hall.)

Yeah, where are we on that bus shelter with benches project?
We didn't forget. Did the city forget or was it just one more empty promise?
Bus stop needs renovation.
Just like Brownsville city operations, unable to provide basic necessities. Bus stop needs renovation.
Sad......but true
Booo ha ha...cry me a river.
Citizens have no responsibility in getting you from here to there. No money for bus shelters!!!
If they use the hike trail there are shades and drinking fountains even drinking fountains for dogs
Standing in the Sun....sounds like a CHOICE she made. I know...she’s a victim because she’s a poor Mexican. Stop fucking whining about people that have made BAD CHOICES in their life. Poverty is self-inflicted. Nobody owes this Sun Queen ANYTHING!

Extreme important projects for the city: Subscribe to organizations that give out awards that are useless, regardless of the cost 50k and up, bike trails, listen to the silk stocking districts everybody else not important, hire useless and self-serving directors that do nothing and hate improvements, bus shelters unimportant, repair of potholes unimportant, flooding unimportant, traffic light unimportant, PUB high rates unimportant can't afford to pay cut the electricity OFF but build arenas, sport parks that people will use in about 20 years from now that's call planning ahead.
Do you like to visit run-down places, buildings that are falling down, hazardous roads and extreme dangerous situations like FLOODING, hurricanes, hail etc etc.
If you do COME ON DOWN!!!

The USA is a first world power. It is the duty of the country to help all its citizens. You never know, maybe the baby will discover the cure for cancer.
But, we do have top-notched bike trails that Dr. Gowen consistently defends. Does she have data and statistics as to how many people actually use those bike trails and when they are used. It is few and in-between that you actually see anyone use those trails, yet, thousands and thousands of cars travel our so-called streets full of pot holes and dirty mess on the side.
Grass around the frontage road near International is always in disarry.
The Lincoln St and International Blvd crossing was closed with a median, in front of What-a-Burger and so people wanting to go down town would have to make a U-turn. Well, they put up NO U-turn signs and now you must turn on Grant between What-a-Burger and Churches. You have to wait for the south traffic on Internation to pass, including huge 18 wheelers and at times, the line waiting to turn left goes back all the way to Lincoln where 18 wheelers from Mexico turn at 90 mph without a complete stop at the expressway light.
From Grant you go to 17th and make a left to Lincoln and then the frontage before you can get into the expressway. That street, 17th is either full of used cars parked there by used car lots making it a one car street where cars turning right from the frontage turn head on to the car coming. That is if the car actually reaches the frontage, since you must maneuver through an obstacle course of huge pots and holes all over the street.
Oh, but we have beautiful bike trails. The traffic department needs to get to work and assign a task force to tackle street by street and locate the areas where repaving is needed, not patch work. Oh, and they send 7 people to patch the hole with one actually working and the other 6 on the cell phone or just standing holding a shovel. Sorry for this short novel and perhaps a new book should be written about Brownsville's real need for proper infrastructure. Ya parale!
To make Matters worse in regards to reckless spending of taxpayers monies, now the city will rebuild the old Gutierrez warehouse for the Farmers market operations. Meaning paying no rent, electricity or property insurance only making money at our expense. Minus well invite all the vendors at the 77 flea market so they dont have to worry about paying fees.

The money that's left is used to renovate private business owed by elected officials. NOTHING NEW HERE where's the D. A.? Ooooh he also owns a business... no wonder
Folks we have money for trials etc, but not for bus benches, this can be funded thru EDC funds so the city manager and finance director dont have to cry that there is no funding, check out the EDC laws on eligible projects online. SO THERE IS NO EXCUSE FROM ANYONE ON THIS.
4:15 PM...you are definitely the poster child for STUPID MEXICANS...bawhahahaha!
