POLICE, FIREFIGHTERS, PARAMEDICS WORK CRASH SCENE

(Ed.'s Note: One of our faithful seven readers said he was at the scene of a motorcycle-car accident at the corner of Old 77 and Gilson Road when a motorcyclist rear-ended a car – the red compact at left – and was slightly injured as a result. The accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. today. The paramedics are tending to the motorcyclist sitting on the curb at right and the police interviewed the driver as firefighters spread oil-absorbing material around then bike. Hope everybody is OK.)

Commercials remind us to not forget that there is a driver on a motorcycle, but it does not remind the cyclist that they do not own the road. They travel at abve-limit speeds and I have never seen any cop stop them and their noisy bikes from swaying in and out between car. Move out of my way, here I come!

Can't feel sorry for the cyclist!
