WE SAY GOODBYE TO FORMER DHS AGENT, GOOD FRIEND

(Ed.'s Note: It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to former Cameron County Sheriff's Dept investigator, U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security agent, and Government Administration Professional Rolando Rivas. Rivas, who was hospitalized for the past two weeks, passed away over the weekend. Our condolences to his friends and family. Peace be with him, and them.

Roy was one of those rare law enforcement officers who did not use the power of the state against his fellow citizens. He handled his duties with tolerance, a good dose of optimism, and empathy toward others. We'll miss you, Rolando.)
