BROWNSVILLE ANNUAL VETS' DAY SILENT PARADE IN PICTURES

Brownsville's Medal of Honor winner Jose Lopez stands guard as the color detail of this year's Veterans Day Silent March parade reaches Veterans Memorial Park besides the Brownsville Public Library on Central Boulevard.
The marchers, who started at the HEB Grocery Store at the intersection of Boca Chica and Central Blvds. pass Los Ebanos Blvd. on the way to the park.
The color guard enter the park to the applause of veterans and their supporters.
A huge U.S. Flag waves majestically in the breeze atop a Brownsville Fire Department rescue ladder next to the park.
Congratulation to Silent Parade organizers and participants and a happy Veterans Day to all who served.

Why did the Herald leave off most of the Viet Nam vaterans in the section
devoted to them? Albert Avalos was the 1st homeboy to die in Viet Nam followed by his next door neighbor Roberto Rocha. They left them all out?
Why?
