Like Doubting Thomases, these commenters still dispute the fact that Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza crashed his truck September 2 and his neighbors report that it was towed by a private tower (Payless Towing) from his house the next day.
The photo is dated September 3 and towed by Omar Lopez (former deputy), a nephew of Julio Morales of Julio Auto Parts on International Blvd.
Investigators think that it was probably towed from Garza's house to Ramblado Rivera's town of Santa Maria to get it fixed without notifying the respective county authorities. Although there is no damage visible from this angle, the damage may have been on the other side or bottom.
The truck appeared back at the Sheriff Department back on Sept 30th and was brought back by Deputies Eddie Guerra and Rivera.
