Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid ...only takes the cases that are convenient for them.
We voted democratic but in the general election, republican. The democrats did a hell of job for themselves and not for the people. The pack of lies that the democrats spread during election time how the Republicans will take the social security from the people in the valley is the same stupid story the democrats keep using time and time again. You don't go to Legal Aid for rental assistance under President Biden's Stimulus Funds. They won't know what you are talking about.
You go down to the Community Development-CB located in the Dancy Building where the county offices are to apply for rental assistance. Your landlord must participate by also submitting paperwork to prove you are their tenant and have lost rental income due to the pandemic job losses, etc.
Do yourself a favor and go there today! I'm pretty sure the Rental Assistance program is still in effect. Call 956 541-4955 They can help with utilities as well.
