When you sign on to work for the federal government – whether it's the FBI, Border Patrol, or the Armed Forces – you also take an oath to protect the Constitution, and enforce the laws of the land and obey the polices executed by the Commander-In-Chief, your president.

This applies in the military as well as in federal employment. If you don't agree with the policies, you have the right to say so and let your disagreement known through your representatives.

But what Judd did above is over the line. Judd's disagreement on policies make the issue a personal one on Joe Biden – his boss and commander-in-chief.

If you showed this disrespect to your commander in the military forces, you would face immediate disciplinary measures. The Border Patrol is no different. When they were made to hold children in cages, where was the outrage of the union then? They followed the inhuman directives from Donald Trump's White House without question. Did they ever make it personal? Why now?

As a union, they are allowed to endorse candidates, persuade, and even lobby for whatever party or candidate they want. That is the right of unions. In fact, we see eye to eye on some of the issues the BP Union champions.

But maybe we're old fashioned. When you serve, you serve without question and follow the chain of command. Like we said, it doesn't matter whether you agree with your orders or not. 

Your duty, as a federal employee or a member of the Armed Forces, is to obey and implement them. If you don't agree with them you don't attack the president. That's the way it's always been and the way it will always be. Don't like that? There's the door. But don't attack the president personally.
