AND RUBEN CORTEZ WANTS YOUR VOTE FOR DISTRICT 37?

(Ed.'s Note: We came across this video from a supporter of Luis Villarreal, a candidate for Texas House of Representatives District 37 which outlines the sordid saga of his opponent Ruben Cortez's public career. Cortez, who approached a local land developer trying to find funding for a charter school while he was a member of the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) and responsible for setting policies and standards for Texas public schools, has left a trail of self-dealing wherever he appears.

Among SBOE's responsibilities is reviewing the commissioner's proposed award of new charter schools, with authority to veto a recommended applicant. When he did not get funding from a local land developer, he wrote a letter to the state against the Sunny Glenn's Children's Home – which provides a home for abused and neglected children. What he didn't include in it was that he once was  a "consultant"  or grant writer who worked for and was handsomely paid by Ruben Gallegos' International Educational Services (IES), which held contracts to house migrant minors but was shut down by the federal government over more than $17 million in massive financial irregularities. Wherever he sniffs out public money, Cortez will be there.)

County Commissioner Joey Lopez went to Disneyworld with BISD money.

He never repaid it, and he even called from Disneyworld asking for more.

So take your Cortez shit and stick it up your ass, Montoya.

Lest you think there is no purpose to this Republican madness, be assured there is. Those who wish to convince you that facts are not facts have a serious goal in mind: control. The more you doubt facts, the more they can get away with twisting them to their own ends. The next insurrection could therefore be successful — at local, state and federal levels — as the Republican Party continues to try and overturn elections and maintain power, even though a majority of Americans find them to be inveterate, spineless liars filled with the excrement of aging castrated bulls.

Fuck Home Depot!

A slew of Fortune 500 companies, led by hardware giant Home Depot and agricultural equipment manufacturer Deere & Company, donated more than $800,000 last month to Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election results, according to federal election contribution data compiled by the liberal group Accountable.US.

In March alone, Home Depot donated $95,000 to 20 House Republicans who voted to overturn the 2022 election results last January. Deere donated $75,000 to more than a dozen Republicans, and aerospace giant Boeing—the second-largest federal contractor in the U.S., with more than $23 billion in federal contracts in FY2021—donated $45,000 to 32 different Republicans who objected to the 2020 results, according to FEC records.

General Dynamics, Motorola Solutions, FedEx, and Tyson Foods also each donated more than $20,000 each to multiple GOP members last month, according to the data.

Political Action Committees (PACs) tied to the beef, cotton, and rural broadband lobbies all donated at least $30,000 to Jan. 6 objectors as well, according to Accountable.US.

In total, House Republicans who voted against the certification of the 2020 election — even after a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol and delayed the vote for several hours—raked in more than $800,000 from corporate and trade group PACs last month. Such groups have donated more than $12 million to Jan. 6 objectors since the insurrection.

I know that facts, when you are in hack mode rather than journalist, don’t matter but Gallegos didn’t house illegal kids, they provided educational instruction. Your boy, who is also Sucio Jr.’s boy, however, did work for the cagers and the company got in trouble for turning a blind eye to sexual abuse of these kids. How’s that for a salacious headline!!
