(Former Brownsville Mayor Pat Ahumada celebrated daughter Claudia's 50th birthday with his son-in-law Dr. Clay Padington over the weekend. He's a radiologist at Valley Baptist Hospital and she is the chief medical sonographer. Ahumada continues to work as a real estate appraiser and other enterprises, he said.
The birthday party was hosted by Andi and Erika Jaross at their Palo Verde home on Saturday evening. Ahumada has many ties to the Port of Brownsville because of his years of doing business at the Shrimp Turning Basin and the friendships have lasted through the years.
The weekend was capped by a Sunday Easter Brunch with her and his extended family. Of Claudia, Ahumada stated: "Happy Birthday to my princess! The best 50 years of my life..." Time spent with family is time well spent. Enjoy, Pat!
