Attached please find the results of the Ballot Drawing for the June 14th Special Election for Texas Congressional District 34 held this morning by the Cameron County Elections Office. Please be advised that each county effected will conducting their own drawing and these results only apply the ballots that will be used in Cameron County.
This morning only one candidate representative was present. Election Office staff drew on behalf of candidates that were not present either in person or by representative. Before the drawing occurred, there was a coin toss to determine the order the candidates would be called to draw.

The candidates’ positions were drawn in alphabetical order determined by the first letter of their first names, as opposed to the first letter of their last names. Candidate Dan Sanchez drew first, Juana “Janie” Cantu-Cabrera drew second, Mayra Flores drew third and Rene Coronado drew fourth. The order as it will appear on the ballot is as follows:

Juana “Janie” Cantu-Cabrera
Dan Sanchez
Mayra Flores
Party affiliation will be included next to each candidates’ name on the Official Ballot.
