WAR CRIMES AND ATROCITIES: PUTIN'S "SPECIAL MILITARY OPERATION"

NY Times

"As the Russian army's advance came to a halt north of Kyiv, the occupiers apparently began indiscriminately murdering civilians: people riding their bikes or walking their dogs. Impressions from a city filled with destruction and death.

The Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), Germany’s foreign intelligence service, has acquired gruesome new insights into the atrocities committed by Russian military forces. DER SPIEGEL has learned that the BND has new satellite images and has intercepted incriminating radio traffic from Russian military personnel in the region north of Kyiv, where Bucha is located. Some of the intercepted radio traffic might be linked to dead bodies that have been photographed in Bucha.

Following the withdrawal of the Russian military from the town over the weekend, a mass grave was discovered as well as the bodies of several dozen dead civilians left lying on the streets. The hands of some of the victims had been tied, while other bodies showed signs of torture. Numerous women and children are also reportedly among the victims.

The Russian government has vehemently denied that Russian forces are responsible for these war crimes. Several – completely unsubstantiated – claims have been made that the alleged war crimes have been staged by Ukraine. Those claims, however, are contradicted by the statements of numerous witnesses interviewed by reporters from DER SPIEGEL and other news outlets in the town of Bucha.

The road leading into Bucha from the south is lined with pastureland. On the way into town, you’ll pass a white Ford station wagon, its doors marked clearly with black tape spelling out the Cyrillic letters "дети," which means "children" in Russian. The tires of the car are flat, and the front of the vehicle is almost completely torn off. There are clothes lying on the ground next to the vehicle. It looks a lot like a family’s attempt to flee the town came to a sudden end here.

Republican Greg Abbott’s Plan to Bus Migrants from Texas to D.C. Will Pay Off — for the Cartels

Talking “tough” might help him win reelection, but it won’t do anything to help at the border.

Trump's trashing of Ukraine pays off for Russia: Republicans vote to reject NATO — and democracy

Russia attacks an unprovoked Ukraine and the world responds with economic sanctions and more. The US attacks an unprovoked Iraq and (crickets). The news coverage of the collateral damage in Ukraine seems non-stop. An estimated 400K civilian deaths caused by our incursions into the Middle East is hardly mentioned. There is a pitiful double-standard in the way wars are presented to Americans. All lives are important. It is our patriotic obligation to question and challenge archaic policies that hurt standing in the world.

Mexico on Thursday abstained in a United Nations vote that suspended Russia from the UN Human Rights Council over reports of “gross and systematic violations and abuses of human rights in Ukraine,” a move that drew harsh criticism from an international human rights organization.

Ninety-three countries voted in favor of Russia’s suspension, 24 voted against and 58 abstained.

Among those that voted against suspension were Russia itself, China, Cuba and North Korea. In addition to Mexico, the countries that abstained included India, Brazil, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

(Mexico is asking to get its ass kicked by Uncle Sam.)

Not everybody voted for that evil man. Did not vote the first time or second time. For those of you who voted for him please realize that he is a disease for our country. If you are Hispanic he feels nothing but contempt for you. What he gives you are crumbs compared to what he takes. When we the people put him in power we are giving him permission to exploit the USA with our blessing. In other words for those of you who need me to put it in lay man's terms we are giving him permission to f**k us.

A person that calls a group of persons of a specific heritage has no place in the public sector. Trumputo is one of those persons. A racist republican.
