Then they need to fix the tourist attractions we already have. Plant flowers, do sidewalks, establish kiosks, have a trolley system to take tourists all over the city and Cameron county. Use the money produced by the hotel/motel/car rental to beautify the hotels, motels, rental car places. Hire an Art teacher from BISD to create slogans, and art to connect all these hotels, motels, and car rental places.

It does not matter what fund the tax money comes from. It is still our tax money and we said no. No to corruption, no to greedy Dennis Sanchez and no to wasteful spending by idiots who could never handle a project like a 100+ million budget. We win you lost!

2.39 am yes you are correct if you look at the texas comptroller site, it says HOT Taxes can only be used for certain things like beach erosion, maintenance of beaches, no where does it say it can be used to fund any type of infrastruture or any arenas etc. Pinche enano eddie trevino he is lawyer or liar he knows this was not COREECT, sounds like another PUB Project like Tenaska good thing the voters said NO, kinda like that new Courthouse in Hidalgo county to be paid with user fees, yea right folks over there got a big surprise tax (Gomer Pyle style or chorizo) to pay for bonds to built that palace just ask the former county judge Ramon el mamon Garcia
Whether it was close or not? The people have spoken Eddie "Napoleon" Trevino and you don't get your arena for the Madeira Group! Any promises that you made or whatever you were going to gain just went out the window! All your bullshit just showed them that you don't have weight or pull in this county even though the dumb asses voted you into office.
This is an issue trust. This was a vote to county residents trust in its’ leaders.
County, City, School Board Leaders, start being transparent, honest, ethical and start caring for people in all walks of life in {all areas in Brownsville/County not just your cliques/neighborhoods. Stop lying, stop acting shady and stop being irresponsible. How can you see yourselves in the mirror and not have a conscience ?
