A WOMAN'S PLACE: "ESAS SON VIEJAS, NO..."

(Ed.'s Note: This morning, before noon, we received this photo of a company crew power washing the sidewalk in front of Brownsville City Hall. It portrays a man and woman taking turns handling the power hose to remove dirt and scum from the sidewalk in front of the old federal courthouse and post office on Elizabeth Street. Upon inquiry, we learned that they were contractors from Brownsville and that they periodically perform this function. First, our hats are off to the city for employing local residents. Secondly, it's nice to see one of our sisters on the job. En lo que sea, hay que vivir para trabajar, y trabajar para vivir. Adelante, ladies!)
