You should view the public comments section where Mr. Ben Cortez, the San Benito Housing Authority Chairperson, is exposed as the ex-con with a felony conviction. He also lost a slander/defamation of character lawsuit where he was ordered to pay a $40,000 judgement. He has still not paid it.

Well that conviction happened 35 yrs ago n he was never sent to prison like some Ben Gomez stated. He does owe money but lots of people owe judgments . Some San Benito employees n Board members owe default judgment and they still functioning in their capacity.

I don’t know if the Mayor knew all this information before he appointed him to the Housing Authority but he does know now. The Mayor is up for re-election so he needs to make some wise choices.
May 2023 will be san Benito city elections. Not only the mayor needs to make wise choices but so does Rene Garcia and Rene Villafranco as they are up for re-election also.

The Mayor and Commissioner Galvan aren’t afraid of Manny. The reason that being is because Little Manny has nothing on them. As for the other three I can only imagine what he has under lock and key. Like someone mentioned above is he that good of a city manager why hasn’t any other city he applied for hired him. I can only suspect that he has a past in Bexar County. There is a Manual Delarosa Jr that was arrested years back for unlawful carrying of a weapon. Could this Manuel Delarosa Jr be our very own city manager? Thing that make you go Hummm.
This woman has no business yelling. Manny can't fix it idiot because Manny is the problem. Carol Sanchez has no business being a commissioner when her personal life is in shambles with her so called ex yet they are always together at city events. They need to get rid of Manuel aka Manny, Fred Bell aka Mannys puppet, and inspector Olvera. All need to go along with the city attorney. Commissioners Villafranco and Sanchez have to go. And ex mayor Ben gomez needs to get a life. This loser lives with his grandma owes property taxes and has been arrested for domestic violence. It's embarrassing to say I am from San benito with all these idiots give us a bad name. Put them all on a short bus and ship them out to another village too many idiots here. Villafrancos daughter needs to pay the fines and tickets she owes the city and carol Sanchez husband needs to pay the tickets he owes the city as well. That's how corrupt the city is anyone else would have already been arrested. Wait till the texas Rangers and Fbi get called in to check on the corruption let's see if Manny can fix his way out of it. I seriously doubt it.
