AFTER CANVASSING ELECTION, RECOUNT, GARZA SWORN IN

I. Meeting called to order for the Canvassing for BISD Trustee Place 2 of Elections Returns for the Recount of BISD Trustee Election held on November 8, 2022.

(Ed.'s Note: This morning, the board of the Brownsville Independent School District met to canvass the vote in the November 8 Place 2 election and declared – after a canvassing of the election and recount requested by challenger Victor Caballero – that incumbent board member Denise Garza had won the race.

Above, 138th Judicial District Court Judge Gabby Garcia administers the oath of office to the winner. Looking on (L-R) are board members (VP) Carlos Elizondo, Board President Jessica Gonzalez, Daniella Lopez-Valdez, and member Eddie Garcia.)

It's not so much that Denise won, It's who Joey Lopez wants running for a position and that person will win , no matter who the opponent is. He has many followers, including the Judge ( Eddie Garcia's sis) who performed ceremony for Denise.

Joey "Lazy" Lopez has done nothing as a politician. Disneyworld, Joey?

(grown man using JOEY. ja ja ja)

Saw the judge did the swearing in…and proceeded to attempt to scold the board?

When was the last time BISD was an A district?
Better question is when have they NOT been. …long before hidalgo county.

BISD teachers and principals are the hardest working professionals. They make leaders look GREAT

This administration is the most top heavy in history. And they raised taxes. And they gave the teachers 500 while rewarding select central office 15,000.

She was scolding the wrong people - hopefully she better judge on the bench.

The judge should've stayed in her lane ,as she was a guest to perform a ceremony. Did she get on a power trip, because her -smirking I'm up to something brother - is on the board? Some of our elected/appointed members think they're Brownsville's Royalty. Be humble and respectful.

Gabby Garcia and Eddie Garcia are republicans, so i've been told. True?

Denise, you should pay attention these next 4 years. Now that Prisi and Drue are gone, especially.

Eddie wants to run against Yzaguirre? I'll take the old skeleton all day long.

Denise look into the maintenance facility Department too much corruption with vendors with the people in charge they're taking too long on construction projects and overcharging an arm and a leg getting kick backs. Seems like everybody's blind your buddy the superintendent needs a lot of help just like to b******* the board members.
