Special to El Rrun-Rrun
By all accounts, commissioner Carol Sanchez is a busy litigator. And by the look of things, she is doing a lot of this litigation pro bono for her former (or is it current?) mate and her brother.
We decided to look into the allegations raised above by the anonymous commenter and found that – for the most part – they are based on firm documentation.
The Cameron County District Clerk Department lists 2022-DCR-00173 among its pending cases that names HERNANDEZ, DAVID LEE, as the defendant for a felony offense of Evading Arrest With a Motor Vehicle December 19, 2021 and filed in the 107th District Court on February 9, 2022.
After a series of case resets, negotiations, and change of legal counsel, Carol Sanchez stood in for attorney Salvador Garcia and is considering a plea bargain offer made by Cameron County Asst. District Attorney Pete Gilman December 5, 2022. The case is reset for January 9, 2023 at 8:30 am. for a hearing on the status of the plea offer.
The other case is being heard in Judge David Gonzalez III's Cameron County Court-at Law #1 and is styled 22-CCR-00226, a Class A Adult Misdemeanor, Possession of a Controlled Substance, alleged to have occurred November 19, 2021, 2022 and filed January 26, 2022. Sanchez is listed as the lead attorney in the case.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled in Gonzalez's court for February 8, 2023 with a trial scheduled for February 21.
But there's more.
Sanchez will probably also perform pro-bono duties (as she has in his previous cases) on her brother Moises Sanchez's current case 22-CCR-04876, which is alleged to have occurred August 28, 2022, a Class A Misdemeanor, six counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of Duty on Striking an Unattended Vehicle, and filed in Judge Arturo McDonald's County Court at Law # 1 November 30, 2022.
The court's docket does not show anything past his November 30 arraignment.
Looks like the commish will be busy keeping her kin out of the clink for a while in the coming year.

Word on the street is La Jura have standing orders to keep everything under wraps with those guys and another of the commissioners Familia. Must be nice to be a commissioner in El San Bene. Did anyone say free wine and steak ?
Notice the Judges and prosecutors who are delaying the due process. These intentional, maliciously, willing efforts committed by these Cameron County judges and attorneys is what runs the Judicial System in Cameron. The attorneys and Judges mentioned sound familiar with the convicted of D.A. Armando Villalobos and conviction of Dist. Judge Abel Limas. Hope to God that the FBI is taking notice of this set-up corrupt scheme by Cameron County Judicial System. This is my opinion
Montoya, lay off San Bene, dude. How many times do we have to tell you, you smelly, elderly pachuco.
