(Ed.'s NOte: The annual unveiling of the Charro Days poster by Dan Breeden was held at the Alonso Building this morning with a full house attending the event.
All of the members of the board of the Brownsville Independent School District attended except for Carlos Elizondo, Mexico's Consul in Brownsville Judith Arrieta represented her country, Brownsville Navgation District board member John Wood represented the port, 138th Judicial District Judge Gaby Garcia was also there.
The only member of the City of Brownsville Commission at the event was District 2 commissioner Jessica Tetreau-Kalifa in the bottom photo with the muchachita models. If you look closely, you can see former city commissioner Ricardo Longoria doing the DJ gig.
The annual fiesta will be held February 18-25, just a bit over three weeks from now.

The only person that cares about Brownsville is La Jessica. She is the only one at community events. As a Republican, I’m proud of supporting someone that is going to put Brownsville first. We have seen all the economic growth and change that has happen within her district. What has John done. Nothing, just losing his hair and his seat.
