(Ed.'s Note: Have you sen Juanito Garcia? It's going on two weeks since he was last seen near the corner of Paredes Line Road and Lindale near his home on Shidler Drive and his family is worried because he suffers from dementia. I have not seen him. He has to be around the neighborhood.
Somebody gave him a ride to his favorite place ( a restaurant downtown, the bridge etc)

Please do not give a ride to an older person....they have dementia.

Your headline makes no connection to the missing man, as if it's some neighborhood prank from one family to another. Just say they're looking for one of their own!

shit, man.

It's "Garcia family," singular.

11 days may not be long enough, how long does it take to get over a drunk?

Didn't this guy play fullback for Brownsville High School back in the day? I think he did. Good player. Hope they find him.

Has anyone questioned his movida? just asking.

Demencia is a woman's name in Mexico. Maybe they mean he was with a woman?

Does the police department have a corpse-sniffing dog?

that's a busy intersection, Paredes and Boca Chica. Lots of business dumpsters.

Did they find him?

Find his movida and you will find him.

Only people that have an elderly person at home, understands how difficult it is to tell others about the illness of an old person. Most people think it is not true, dementia etc

From far away, they look OK. The dementia patients seem to know what they are doing...it is the brain that is messing up their lives. They do not remember much.

My father has dementia. We lock the gates, the doors, and around 4:00 AM he is ready to go out to Matamoros. Our neighbors do not know, they wave and say HI to my father. My father is a good person and we protect him the best we can.

The police will find this elderly man. The Border Patrol will find him. Taxi drivers will find him. People that watch their neighborhoods will find him.

You need a map to navigate or a cell with gps, or cell with a voice map or a plain paper map which nobody sells any more or an amiga to take you to the bank....
"Happy Trails to you, until we meet again"

May his Guardian Angel be watching over him and may his family find him safe and sound.

Why do people need to be so picky or holier than thou? When I read "Garcia's family" I understood that it was his family searching for him. The term "Garcia's" is not plural.

As far as the movida is concerned I think it would be awesome if he were with her. Safely cradled between her legs but no sadly I think he is lost somewhere. He has dementia.

Do they call the other woman "la movida" because she moves while she rocks? I have never understood why the word "movida."

Have had the pleasure of personally knowing Juanito. He may have his vices as we all do but, he was always a gentleman when greeted. I really hope he is found and that he is well. God takes care of his children. Be kind to the family, please. After all, we are all human.
