My trip to Florida for Thanksgiving was a nightmare. Tampa St. Pete was terrible. Other than downtown the place is a dump, the food is terrible and the people are beyond rude. I went to a predominately gay tourist shopping are. After two hours of not being able to find one item indicating Florida, I asked this French shop owner and he said "They do not want us here, so we will not sell anything with the Florida symbol." We went to a wine shop downtown and I asked for a pretty standard Italian red and was told where the Italian wines were and I could go check for myself.
People do not talk to on another. This is what happens when you live in a state where division is promoted. Orlando was okay, but we spent most of the time in a private resort and went to a Thai restaurant. I really did not interact with anyone from Florida.
