House Republicans are taking their first shot at slashing federal spending on nutrition programs for low-income Americans. It won’t be their last.
Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.), is introducing a bill Tuesday to expand current restrictions on who qualifies for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as food stamps. It’s the first of what is expected to be a wave of GOP efforts this year to set limits on SNAP, the country’s largest food assistance program, which grew significantly during the pandemic.
But while Republicans have telegraphed their desire to curb nutrition spending, House Democrats have yet to mount a coordinated response, raising concerns in the caucus about whether they can fend off likely GOP attacks on the program during the negotiations over the debt limit, budget and 2023 farm bill.

I hate to inform you that things have changed drastically since that period of time. There are strict child labor laws to protect the youth of our country. As for the law signed by Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, all child labor laws that actually protect children still apply and businesses are expected to comply. The new law only eliminates excessive paperwork currently being required of parents and employers to obtain permission for a youth between the ages of 14-15 to secure employment. Now, why don’t you talk about the youth of Cameron county some as young as 12 who are currently employed by the Drug Cartel. These youth work in human smuggling, drug distribution and drug sales. I guess these jobs are not dangerous. No permits required. Democrat approved jobs thanks to our open border policy!

Republicans need to eliminate the food stamp program in its entirety. This program is one of many programs created by democrats that have been bleeding the taxpayers for years. The food stamp program should have been designed specifically for the elderly and handicapped. It can also assist families who happen to fall on hard times but only on a limited basis. However, this program has become a crutch for lazy white, black and brown adults who have remained on the program for generations. Why haven’t these people been required to work is beyond me. It’s my understanding that there are many high paying jobs throughout the country.

I continue to smell the stench of RATAS. Its a smell different and readily identifiably. It permeates everything and is difficult to control. Now bugs are in a different category, all you need is a bug spray and away they go, but not the stench of RATAS.
