MUSK: WELL, NO. MAYBE MONDAY, MAYBE NOT "IDIOTS"

SPACEX SAID IT WAS READY FOR STARSHIP LAUNCH MONDAY...
DID ANYONE TELL MUSK?
(Ed.'s Note: Don't pack the RV and get grandma's favorite rocking chair to go watch SpaceX fire off the gigantic Starship on Monday from the mud flats at Boca Chica. Apparently, someone over there spoke too soon and Musk, who doesn't mince words or speaks too soon, quickly set the "idots" straight. Maybe Monday, but then again, maybe not.)

Always leave all options on the table. What should not be left on the table is a single taco off the Taco Plate.

Important is important.

The FAA is investigating multiple jobs done by Brownsville contractors without permits and the city's refusal to inspect the work. Maybe Elon knows something the FAA regulators who approved the launch discovered after the FAA permit inspectors notified them.

Block Busting at its finest. I appreciate all the Malinches, Rinches, and the Trevino's and Tetreau Kalifa's in the Valley. Y'all should invite the Klan while you're at it. We accept Cocitos now.

Call me old fashioned or nostalgic but our crown jewel ( Boca Chica Beach) has been given away/ sold out to the almighty dollar. I understand I’m gonna piss off those that are going to make a quick buck from this but its ok , im entitled to my opinion. The memories of going to boca chica beach with my grandparents/ parents as kids are too numerous and precious. And waking up on any given morning and do a little fishing was irreplaceable. But now, unfortunately that will no longer be the case for future generations. That freedom, peace and quiet and free access is a thing of the past. We are now at the mercy of Spacex, Elon Musk and the almighty dollar!!! Yes I fully understand the times are changing and that with growth come growing pains but at what price?? We sold our soul to the devil!! and made Elon Musk (the richest man in the world ) even richer. Wasn’t SPI enough to satisfy the entrepreneurs, money-making speculators and thrill seakers. Boca chica beach was our slice of heaven , where all different walks of life could park next to each other and enjoy a fabulous day at the beach. But all our fearless leaders did away with that for a quick buck and a few perks. Shame on them. Like the mexican saying goes “Ni modo, Ya ni llorar es bueno”. I guess I’ll cherish my memories and hope for the best for Bocachica beach. My two cents Thanks for your time.

Big Deal!!! Where are all the jobs and tourism dollars SpaceX was supposed to bring? Brownsville is still the same old poor jodido town if not even worse than before with all the rats we have as city leaders.

Yeah, yeah, yeah! Let me know when we get to Mars. SpaceX is full of it. We aren't going to Mars any time soon. Maybe in the far future, but not in our lifetime or any time soon. We haven't even been able to go back to the moon in 50 years. That's if we even did go to the moon. False hopes.

To the claim SpaceX has not brought jobs - take your head out of the sand. And I am no SpaceX supporter. Do you think someone just waived a magic wand and the facility was build. I know so many people who have made a ton of overtime building the facility. Plumbers, electricians, AC techs and on and on. I know people who deliver building supplies on a regular basis and are making good overtime at nearly $35.00 an hour as drivers. So I believe you have not made any money on it, but a lot of people have. But I still oppose them and wish they would just go away

To the poster who implied that the city is refusing to inspect construction at SpaceX --Maybe that is because the place is not within the city limits. Anything going on out there belongs to the county and/or the state. If the city was inspecting buildings out there without a contract from the county I would be suspicious.

those are labor jobs and no one from the local colleges here works there, oh and I forgot, the room and board people also benefitted. some call it a good trade labor jobs for boca chica, I call it UNBELIEVALBE, but if you look at the local elected officials IT MAKES SENSE. RATAS.

Yea, Cervantes we also know the fajita bandit, that got 50 years for spoiled meat. Who was the judge? Was there due process? Who were the venders? What county entity was inspecting this issue? Where and who gave the permits here? An example, San Bentio ISD as we speak is in hot water for allowing a $40 million project to be built with grant taxpayers monies without notifying commissioners that there were and still have problems with the foundation. The question here is, IS San Bentio going to be held liable if the future Performing Arts Center colapses and kills millions? Are the commissioners who approved this corrupt cover-up going to be held liable in the future, or will they resign or retire to avoid prosecution. In this issue, Mr. Cervantes, the city was inspecting the buildings with supposedly valid contracts, yet there is a major problem with the foundation that is being covered up and will the Cameron County taxpayers be held liable and force to pay for this major irresponsible action?
