What have local veterans done for their community lately?
Nuthin.
raffles are okay for Quilting clubs and neighborhood kids' bike fund drives. not so-called "tough-guy" veterans. Just another grubby scam.

I criticized local veterans, you insipid, uneducated fool. It was the collective fighting for the country that kept (and keeps) us free, not just you. My freedom also comes from my four years of military service (USN), so, yes, I do enjoy my freedom, to see, to speak, to act.
All YOU do is drink alcohol and stage money-grubbing raffles.

I can tell by the comments that most of you were not raised properly. I was taught at an early age that if you can’t speak well of someone its best to say nothing at all. You haters obviously didn’t have a mother or father who cared enough to raise you properly, and that’s sad. Now I can understand why the kids of today are so messed up. It comes from generations of losers.

apparently you don't listen did not listen or you are just plain pendejo the lesson didn't stick to your ass like you mentioned it trickled slowly out of your ass.
VFW in Brownsville is mess up. Within its ranks for sometime and this VFW needs to shape up. Clean up your act. Don't act like you don't know what has going on for many years at VFW. Maybe a new chapter is needed in Brownsville with better quality of leaders and not cookie takers. Is this building pay off? Does the city of Brownsville still holds the mortgage?
You have people with issues here. This raffle probably will be used to assist with their bills. Yes, the VFW is not what it used to be but it is not full of cowards or traitors. If you don't want to help don't and leave it at that.

Mr. Navy "Slick Sleeve" LOL, Go by the VFW and voice your comments there, and don't be looking for the easy way out trying to find a "ANYMOUSE" to to this anonymously. Use YOUR well deserved freedom and voice it out loud. I hope I'm there, but if not, I am sure any of the Honorable Veterans there will gladly help you out. You say we are uneducated and stupid, you need to look yourself in a mirror.
