So now you're going to have large groups of people walk along the road and right-off-way which does not even have a shoulder or even sidewalks along most of that stretch of road?
This, of course, will make it much easier for some other nut to literally shoot fish in a barrel with a vehicle, in effect using it as a deadly weapon with them already lined up along the side of the road. What a perverse use of "total alignment" concept which former city manager Noel Bernal bequeathed to the city along with his then-assistant city manager Ramirez.
And we're paying this woman more than $250,000 a year to manage the city, as well as her overpaid counterpart at Bus Metro whose "bus stop" consists of nothing more than a Bus Metro sign and a metal rod?)

Bus shelters, like public schools, say alot about a city's sympathy for its citizens. Brownsville has long put the poor aside.

I agree we need to improve these bus stops but I do understand the last time we had improved them they turned them into homeless havens. So its a give and a take. There has to be a happy medium found. Lets improve the shade area to stand only but not put any benches, that's just a suggestion. First and foremost, we all know she was a terrible hand me down when useless Bernal left. She makes an exorbitant amt of money $$$ and she has like a shitload of assistants( all also making a shitload of $$$) so what does she really do on a daily business?? Is she like running a city like Dallas/Houston to warrant all this help?? The new city government needs to trim the fat at all city departments, starting with the city managers office. Previous administrations have allowed Brownsville to become the rectum of The Valley and yet all these so called city managers and leaders are being rewarded handsomely. This has to stop.
