NOW YOU SEE IT...
NOW YOU DON'T
(Ed.'s Note: The illegally-constructed ad hoc canopy over the sidewalk in front of Terras Urban Mexican Kitchen, at 1212 E. Washington St. lasted for less than 24 hours when the restaurant owners found out that you need to get clearance from the city to erect it covering up the facade of the building which is located in the citys' historical district. Officials said that permits are needed to cover up the sidewalk and other city easements. They worried that a strong wind might blow away the structure potentially creating a driving hazard and hurting someone, exposing the city to a liability. Business owners in the district are encouraged to first consult with Juan VΓ©lez, the city's Historic Preservation Officer before undertaking any project in the historical area.)

Since the business is a skip and a hop away from Moros the owner thought he was in Mejico.ππ€£✌️
All we need is a little shade from this 3 digit degree weather.
Don't give the ratas any ideas about the weather or they will TAX us on it.
"YOUR PROPERTY TAXES WILL GO UP EVERYTIME A DEGREE OF HOT WEATHER GOES UP".
The owners of Terras think they are the hottest restaurant in all of Brownsville,TX. They are 5 owners and 6 financial investors. They have no respect for any other businesses or residents that live downtown. Especially the owner Roberto. He is rude. He feels he doesn't have to follow city ordinances or historical ordinances. He always double parks like they do in Matamoros,MX. I wonder if he is part of the Cartel Del Golfo? He acts like one of them. Terras is over priced and the quality of their food has gone down drastically all along increasing their prices for refried beans and corn tortillas. If you pass on Tuesday morning you will see a red suv selling Terras meat from the back of the SUV.
What the hell is that wooden structure anyhows??? Why is it on the curb/street?? Its purpose?? Who allowed it and why is it the only one of its kind downtown?? Do the owners of Terras run downtown?? Do you have an answer COB ??
Canopy, canopy at the cheapest level.
What do you expect, it's downtown Brownsville. Cheap wine AND MIX DRINKS SERVERD IN PLASTIC CUPS, rat π π pizza, rats everywhere,.
ALL THE GREAT BUSINESSES ARE NORTH OF BOCA CHICA BLVD.
To many investors and owners. They have no money. Terrible A/C it's too humid there.
Will be closing soon.
There is no profits, it is in the negative.
The great majority of businesses in Brownsville are cartel owned. But if it wasn’t for them where would this piece of shit town be?
If not for this blog and the people who comment on it there would be even more corruption in this town. Thanks Montoya keep up the great work.
They were turned in by Terras!

Refried beans and corn tortillas? I have never gone to the place but it sounds like it is not worth going.
Is this place like Adolios and that other place on Central by the Motel 6 that people only go for the ambiance and drink but their kitchen sucks?
