On September 20th, in the Edinburg court, there will be an oral argument appeal. We are asking folks that have cars to volunteer for the carpool. If you do not have a car we are asking for your attendance. Let us show up and show out for our community.
What is the Open Beaches Lawsuit?
Save RGV filed a lawsuit against The General Land Office (GLO,) its Commissioner, and Cameron County on October 11, 2021 declaring that certain sections of the Texas Open Beaches Act – particularly, those sections that allow for public beach closures for space flight activities – are unconstitutional per our Texas Constitution Bill of Rights, Article 1, Section 33.
Once we filed, Sierra Club and the Carrizo/Comecrudo Nation of Texas, Inc. joined our lawsuit. We lost the case in District Court, but filed an appeal in the 13th State Court of Appeals. Oral arguments are now set for September 20th at 10:30 AM in Edinburg, TX

Elon Musk has a clear title to the beach. Let's just leave it at that. Sue your local politicians who decided to sell something that didn't belong to them.
Excellent ideas.
Money vs. Poor
Nature Lovers vs. Men with power
Politicians vs. the people
Who is going to prevail?
Take the Ballis the real owners of La Isla, not gringos from el norte. idiotas
Its gotta be know they gave boca chica away to muskies so let's elect all of them again maybe they can give him browntown and make it whitetown, and than we can go to boca chica.
Elon Musk is shooting off his rockets, while at the same time, shaking and rattling homes in Port Isabel. ( other places, as well) County officials should this be a cause for concern ? Heck, the large KABOOM can be felt and heard from my mothers home. The rocket show can be seen from her front porch. The home shakes, windows rattle every time his experiments are performed. Our humble homes foundations are being weakened by all this. I am not against progress, but don't weaken what little we have. Stop destroying Earth to get to Mars. Do county/city officials or Musk care?
:(
Too many GREEDY County/City/Port officials are so much part of this problem.
The port is correct they tax the shit out of brownsville tax payers and they claim they are doing great. If so STOP TAXING US. PINCHES RATAS MAMONAS. STOP TAXING THE BROWNVILLE CITIZENS.
Only Democrats were involved in the sale of Boca Chica beach. Democrats create the mess and it's up to Republicans to clean it up.
The Port is always tooting their own horn on new breakthroughs and how successful they are without a bit of thanks to Brownsville's taxpayers. Stop piggybacking on our tax money. On another note, why does STISD continue to tax us, as well. Circumstances are not the same when this was created and we still continue to be taxed and pay for 2 school districts. The greedy continue to be greedy, including NEPO-BPUB/PORT/COUNTY/CITY/including special committees. Where can one get information on who is getting the contracts to rebuild "El Jardin" Hotel?

In the name of progress they don't.
Same ol’ grifters but brown in color. All the city and county and state legislator and ex senator gave it all away. God is watching and no matter how many times you show at church we will all have to answer. Vote them all out this November.
I have an idea, open Boca Chica beach again for 24/7 access anytime. But add a public’s sign, like the ones warning of riptides, that reads “Your skin may burn to ashes during launches. Welcome.” This way those members of the public which reject the closure of the beach, intended to protect the public, may exercise their own judgment, weigh the risks and make their own decision. How is this suggestion?
Otra raqueta, el jardin hotel! Keep an eye out on this one Juanito. A lot of buzz going around someone got short-changed and is now talking. Go to the FBI not the DA este esta vendido...
