ALL-TEXAS I-45 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL!

Various Sources

The Houston Astros beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2 on Wednesday night to advance back to the American League Championship Series.

Houston got a big two-run home run in the win from Jose Abreu, which proved to be the difference maker. The 'Stros closed out the series three-games-to-one and continued to climb an incredible list in baseball history.

The Astros advance to their 7th straight ALCS. Only the Braves (8 straight from 1991-99) have a longer LCS streak since the round began in 1969.

Houston is seeking its third World Series title in that time, having also won the World Series in 2017 and 2022. In addition, they went to the World Series in 2019 and 2021, losing to the Nationals and Braves.

If Houston is going to get back to the World Series, they'll have to go through their division rivals: The Texas Rangers.

Houston won the season-series 9-4 this year and will look to take this series as well.

Game 1 is on Sunday.
