The computers that run the city government in Harlingen have been “down” for TWO WEEKS. The City Manager claims it was RUSSIAN HACKERS that disabled the information highway. My question...why would Russians disable the city computers in a nothing little town in South Texas. CITY MANAGER, I think you are LYING. I think you and the Mayor are MORONS!

But Brownsville has HIKE AND BIKE TRAILS GALORE, we also have a FARMERS MARKET for the rich, and lets not forget the towns money(which should be used for its improvement) is given to the millionaires/“entrepreneurs” to improve their portfolios. So lets all join hands, sing Kumbaya and give thanks to our city/ elected officials for continuing to add our town to these “ distinguished “ lists!!! YOU ALL MUST BE SO PROUD !!!
McAllen is well developed. ALONG THE HIWAY.
Brownsville will never prosper building bike lanes and repairing broken downtown buildings. The hotel hotel downtown that they are fixing, waste of money. They are doing a cheap cosmetic job, for a high price.

You have to build along the hiway. The town is to small to develop downtown.
CARDENAS MOTOR GOT THE IDEA FROM the BIG CITY, (look it up) ALONG the hiway. He did great, lazy kids of his ruined it. Look at Brownsville and san juan flea market good/bad comparison, hiway business.

I’m a proud 35%er of not having insurance, I’m happy to not be part of America’s historically largest scam, I pay cash at doctors visit, $40-$50, what’s your co-pay? Oh wow $40-$50, yes it’s legal to double bill you and your insurance, they call it a co-pay, I call it my only pay. Don’t let a statistic like that create a stream of negativity. My favorite part of employee benefits is their insurance package, so they say they’ll cover you but if you want “x” service they’ll deduct it from your paycheck, are they covering you? Or are you paying for yourself? Yes they probably cut you a slightly better deal because you work at a place that has 60-100 paying into the same bucket! The real statistic should read 65% of their population pays an extra $1000 a month for medical services they don’t even use!

Harlingen has a cleaner city, no beggars, has a better business Distribution system than Brownsville. Brownsville has a very high crime rate that is not been reported by the city. Brownsville is controlled by a group of families that keep their friends and family first. The truth in Brownsville gets you into trouble. Brownsville sucks period and will continue.
