FREE SESSIONS: ON CYBERSECURITY, RESILIENCE MANAGEMENT

Cybersecurity

This free sessions offered October 24 go hand in hand with Texas Southmost College's proposed Associate of Applied Science degree that prepares students to work in Cyber Security and Network Systems related positions in the field of Information Technology. Graduates from the program can assess and applying security measures to protect computers and network systems. In addition, they can monitor and maintain security devices and systems.

The curriculum has been developed in accordance to the standards and requirements by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for course content, contact hours, and expected student-learning outcomes.

The proposed curriculum integrates hands-on labs and skill assessments using specialized software, virtual simulations and network devises. In addition, graduates from this new program will earn nationally recognized industry credentials (i.e., CompTIA and Certified Ethical Hacker). These credentials are embedded within the various courses that constitute the program of study. The new program will be located at the ITEC Center.
