(Ed.'s Note: One of our faithful seven readers [actually one Cris Valadez] and his golf buddies were shooting some holes over at the Valley International Country Club and even with the cloud cover up in the sky you could see the sun and the moon and they sent us this photo of the 2023 Annular Eclipse. Cloud cover prevented many South Texas and coastal residents from seeing this unique event.
The next annular eclipse is not due until June 21, 2039 and will only be visible in Alaska. In the bottom photo, the start of the eclipse shows through a lucky break in the clouds.
