(Ed.'s Note: Last Tuesday the City of Brownsville Commission voted for a resolution praising the 15-year service to the city of Charles "Tad" Hasse for his 15 years of service to the city as its Municipal Court I.T. wizard. Hasse accepted the resolution and grieved for his friend, former city commissioner and municipal court chief judge Ben Neece, who died the night before afte he succumbed at a local gym during a workout on the treadmill. Tad Hasse is a smart guy. Deserves the proclamation. Other less deserving people have been recognized without merit. Thank you for being a scout leader as well. I know some young people back then learned well from you. We need more Tad's to mentor our youth.
