(Ed.'s Note: For 15 years, Charles "Tad" Hasse served as the Information and Technology director under Brownsville Municipal Court judges Ben Neece, Bobby Lerma and Rene De Coss fostering a culture of public service and driving home the philosophy that the court was there to serve the people, not the people the court. He served as acting court administrator for some time, and – according to the judges – performed his job perfectly.
In his private life, he was also an influence on local Boy Scouts, serving as scoutmaster for Pack 5 in Brownsville, Troop 61 in Los Fresnos, and the Brownsville Elks Lodge #1032.
Former presiding judges said that Hasse was "a superb asset" who knew the court from top to bottom and was "the institutional knowledge everyone looked for, the unofficial training officer for new hires who had new employees up and running quickly" and was the "morale builder and counselor to his fellow employees who gathered everyone in need and guided them.
"He was then only staff member of the Municipal Court who was always on call, available day or night, rain or shine, his willingness to help transcended his IT responsibilities, whatever the problem was. He was renowned for his quick wit, kind words, fierce loyalty, unbounded generosity and, most of all, as a friend to all."
For his humanity and his service to the community and to the City of Brownsville...

Did he not get paid for his services? So why all the BS? Whose behind the circus and why? Politicians need to get to work to improve our community instead of wasting time messing around like a bunch of clowns.
Marlboro cigarettes also awarded Tad a plaque for the numerous cartons he's smoked. This guy is a human chimney and dresses like a hobo at work daily. no one ever had the courtesy to tell him to stop wearing moccasins without socks to work.

Those who are critical of Mr. Hasse probably have some personal issues on their own or involving him for doing his job as every city employee should.
Of course he was paid! That was his job! Would you work with no pay! I bet

If he wore moccasins, did you never think that he may have used them as the most comfortable shoe to use as he moved from place to place doing all sorts of assignment. Moccasins are very comfortable and warm and help keep our feet out of trouble. Maybe you all should try him.
If he smoked, he was knowledgeable enough to know what it can cause, but he chose that vice, such as many of you chose to drink like a stinker and do so. Unless you bought the cigarettes, why does it bother you.

Not all ex-military are heroes, 90% of service men and women don’t see combat, you got paid while serving, not like you were there on a volunteer basis but somehow you feel entitled to a parking spot or a pat on the back ….. Hasse is the epítome of public service and personifies the true American spirit! No matter how crazy his political beliefs are, he is a true patriot. Thank you for your service, Tad!

Hi, it's is me, Tad's stinky moccasins! Today I rise to tell everyone that even though Tad's his feet do stink, I rather be here, than be on police Chief Sauceda'a feet.
Tad might smoke one too many cigarette's every 5 minutes, but it's better than to take Facebook pictures every single day, Sauceda sure loves attention! I would hate to walk around knowing that all my officers are talking s*&t about me, and don't respect him, a true God!
Back to Cheeto (Trump) loving Tad, I do hope he finds another pair of moccasins, I am pretty beat down, I need a break,, I hate when people stare at me and make fun cause I am barely hanging on..... OK, sorry time for a smoke break!
Mr Hasse is somebody I know from Boy Scouts. He’s also very helpful and will give you the shirt off his back if you’re in need. Good for him!
Hasse a leader? Get the flock out of here! Maybe he had some weird little Boy Scouts thinking he was a leader, but I doubt any adult looked up to him. Dirty, stinky, bad oral hygiene, totally stupid ideas on how to fix computers, and worst of all, he could not have gotten much work down from the beloved flower pot on the first floor of the city plaza garage. He probably spent a total of 6 hours a day out at the gigantic flower pot, smoking away.
Tad got paid for his computer wizardry, effortless for him, out of reach for most of us. His office, like his pickup truck, was total clutter, and yes, he will smoke himself to a premature grave. As for his footwear and homeless look, that was just a reflection of his priorities which did not include style, grooming or appearance. He was a friend for many years until his abject addiction to Trumpism separated us. Go to the extreme right edge of Republicanism and you will see Tad just to your right.
