There are a lot of rumors going around the water cooler and coffe-shops that the DA’s office and other authorities are looking into Port of Brownsville activities. Why does the Port Director Campirano resign and now is running against John Reed? Why does ex port chief of police Carlos Garcia retire and now is running for port commissioner? Why does current port director and ex port police chief Dietrich, who was hand picked by outgoing police chief Garcia to replace him get hired with no port experience? It’s an incestuous atmosphere of corruption going on with port commissioners. Heads are going to roll…. Get your popcorn ready folks. 🍿
In this weeks Port meeting, Carlos Garcia, Eddie Campirano and Ernie (I’m not Mexican) Gutierrez were in the audience. After the meeting you could hear Steve Guerra and Tito (el enano) Lopez tell Ernie Gutiérrez and Carlos Garcia that if they helped Eddie Campirano in his race they would not support them.
Steve Guerra and Tito Lopez forced Campirano out so they could hire Steve Guerra’s nephew in law Dietrich as new port director. Steve has instructed Dietrich to force some port employees out who do not follow thier insteucrions. The moral at port is at an all time low. Dietrich is an unqualified lunatic. He has us all at port on pins and needles.

Campirano and Carlos Garcia were forced out because of incompetence. Period. They are now wanting to go after the commissioners that got rid of them. Is that governing on the behalf of the people or is it them wanting to get even for being let go? Those are not reasons to elect someone. Political childish games are at work here, and the ones who always pay are the taxpayers.
There is no corruption in Browntown.
There is a lot people need to know about port. They have been working in the dark, with the taxpayers in the dark. Ralph Cowen turned out to be the smartest one. He left before the shit hits the fan. Board members have been running rampant. Ignoring conflicts of interest big time. Clean house… con todos!

Carlos Cascos makes a lot of accusations I. Every elections. He just never gives up and can’t see his time has passed. This time he is focusing his attention at Port of Brownsville. He insinuates that there is impropriety going on on behalf of board members yet does not mention any or any impropriety. He tries to get traction for a place to run with no luck. He insinuates he will run for every position like Erasmo Castro….. he seems to be insinuating that he will run against Tito Lopez. Tito will mop the floor with you Carlitos. Give it up old man. Enjoy life and leave politics to the winners.
