(Ed.'s Note: For the fourth time, candidate Mauro Garza is trying to buy his way into the U.S. House of Representative District 34 representing South Texas.
But while Mayra Flores is tapping the National Republican Congressional Committee for millions to try to unseat incumbent Democrat Vicente Gonzalez to whom she lost by a substantial percentage two years ago, Garza, a millionaire, is using his own cash to grease the skids. Here he tries to flee the Veritas reporter and dissembles to dodge the questions of buying votes.
Incidentally, although he claims to embrace the conservative philosophy of his party, he lives in San Antonio and owns a highly-profitable gay bar called Pegasus which is helping to fund his campaign.
Flores has made her candidacy an industry, paying heself a $5,000 monthly "salary" and hiring some of her relatives, and also paying $500 in "wages" to Deborah Bell, her hand-picked candidate for Cameron County chair in the March 4 primary against Brownsville's Tad Hasse.
The Federal Election Commission is now demanding she return the $15,000 she paid herself before the filing deadline.

Campaign reports indicate that other candidates, like Dr. Laura Cisneros and Gregory Kunkle Jr., are using their own money and their supporters' contributions to fund their campaigns. 
But alas, sometimes things don't go as planned, even for millionaires.
On his over-the-weekend stop in Brownsville on his "Listening Tour," Mauro's campaign bus broke down at the local Taco Bell parking lot.

Our president started his spectacular presidency by having open borders and defunding the police. Now three years later we are facing record-high inflation and soaring crime rates. His great idea to support Ukraine against Russia will be another blunder. There is no way that the Ukrainians can beat Russia. As much as a lot of Americans hate Russia and China we need to play ball with them. This is where diplomacy comes in, one of the many things the Biden administration lacks. Lastly, the president has sent numerous war ships to the red sea to protect our interests and that of the world but at what stakes? The Houthi are using $1.25 drones bought at the dollar store while we’re using million dollar missiles to knock them out. With all the screw-ups the democratic party has done it will take a republican to get us back on the right path. I just hope the idiot of a president we have doesn’t confuse the red button with the blue one and send us into a nuclear war. Vote republican if you want to save your country from mass destruction.
