Gonzalez replied that he wasn't urging them to vote in the Republican primary, but rather to ask their Republican friends to vote for her because she had proved she could be beaten.
Politics in Texas is a blood sport, but this has to be a new twist. Keep tuned for the continuing dialogue.

In reality, a third party candidate is allowed to emerge only when their sponsors see a profit. To keep the democratic process afloat and convince you that your votes matter, a token outsider is allowed to emerge every so often once the mainstream candidate is no longer useful. But these candidates are chosen to preserve the elite. The only reality that matters to representatives is the reality they create with the help of the media. They can do anything they wish with public opinion. They can even make it look like the public elected them.
